Plasmonic nanoalloys challenges and opportunities for photocatalysis
Alloys of plasmonic and non-plasmonic elements can provide a library of innovative tools for photo-induced processes, as photocatalysis. Yet, several challenges exist on this way.
V. Amendola’s research activity is focused on the laser synthesis of nano- materials for plasmonics, nano-medicine, catalysis and sensing.
Atomistic modelling of nanoalloys: structure, chemistry and response
DFT modeling provide useful insights on alloy nanoparticles properties, allowing a detailed understanding of their structure, chemistry and plasmonic response.
D. Forrer’s research activity is focused on the modelling of chemical and physical processes in materials, from an atomistic perspective.
