MARECO: the polythematic sea station in Bonassola, Italy
MARECO is located in the bay of Bonassola (Italy), where natural seawater is available in different conditions. Damaged by the 2018 storm, is now under reconstruction.
A. Benedetti research activity is focused on the behavior and protection of materials in marine environments, and on activities in environmental marine science.
Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) for water remediation
The treatment of emerging and persistent pollutants is a challenging issue. AOPs allows to employ high-energy in-situ created reactants able to mineralize organic contaminants.
A. Galenda research activity is focused on the synthesis and characterisation of photocatalytic materials and their application as catalyst for water pollution removal.
