The Networking Centre for Excellence in Nanoelectronics for Environment Monitoring’s activity involves:
- The exchange of information with major stakeholders from Romania acting towards air quality monitoring and improvement in cities and villages;
- Generating new environment monitoring strategies including for environment friendly agriculture, water pollution, and food safety;
- Creating strategic partnerships between Romanian organizations, industry, citizens, and government organizations and agencies;
- Creating public awareness, providing state of the art information about the best practices for environment control and protection, and initiating IoT for air actions in Romania;
- Influencing the development of standards and application for air quality monitoring in Romania;
- Establishment of a ‘Knowledge Transfer Zone for Socio-Economic Development’;
- Organization of a regional round table on ‘Knowledge – Public Transfer Zone’;
- One day meetings with SMEs.
The Centre for Excellence will be active for a minimum of five years after the end of the project, and aims to have more than 25 Romanian and European partners involved in the Centre.
