Following a general introduction to the Raman spectroscopy I will present nine different case studies where Raman spectroscopy is providing significant insights. Therefore I will provide an overview in this talk about Raman spectroscopy capabilities to investigate physical and chemical phenomena at nanoscale level. I will also discuss in details about special application such Surfaced Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) and Tip Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS) are expected to lead the next Raman spectroscopy evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile justify-text\" style=\"grid-template-columns:39% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/net4air.eu\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Mircea.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-195 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/net4air.eu\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Mircea.jpg 512w, https:\/\/net4air.eu\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Mircea-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/net4air.eu\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Mircea-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Short-bio: Mircea Modreanu joined Tyndall National Institute-University College Cork,&nbsp; Ireland currently working as Principal Investigator in the Micro &amp; Nano Systems Centre.&nbsp;<br>Since 2002 he has organize 10 international conferences in the area of optical and X-ray&nbsp;metrology for advanced material and devices, eight in Europe and two in Japan. He is&nbsp;the Project Coordinator of European Innovation Council FETProactive project&nbsp; \u201cNanomaterials Enabling Smart Energy Harvesting For Next-Generation Internet-Of Things\u201d (NANO-EH, www.nano- eh.eu) in response to the call FET Proactive call&nbsp;\u201cBreakthrough zero-emissions energy generation for full decarbonization\u201d. He was awarded the 7 EC research grants and 3 Irish research grants to date and beyond the NANO-EH project he is currently Tyndall\u2019s PI in three other EC-funded research grants,&nbsp;including here Horizon Europe NET4Air project. He has co-authored over 170 per- review&nbsp;publications in ISI-ranked journals, he has given over 30 invited talks and he has three&nbsp;patent pending applications.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are proud to announce the start of a series of lectures on technology for the measurement of air quality and environmental monitoring.
